Fruit acid treatment

Fruit acid peel is a proven method for skin renewal that effectively treats a wide range of skin issues. In this procedure, a special solution based on fruit acids is applied to the skin to gently remove the top layer of skin. This not only stimulates collagen synthesis but also accelerates cell turnover, resulting in a fresher, more radiant complexion.

Fruit acid peel is excellent for treating various skin problems, including acne and acne scars, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, rough skin, and actinic keratoses. By selectively removing dead skin cells, clogged pores are also cleared, and the skin's texture is improved. Additionally, the peel can help balance pigmentation and achieve a more even skin tone.

Before the actual treatment, it is important to prepare the skin for about two weeks with special creams containing low concentrations of fruit acids. This helps to prime the skin for the peel and reduce the risk of side effects.

The actual treatment typically lasts about 60 minutes and is performed on an outpatient basis. The fruit acid solution is evenly applied to the skin and allowed to act for a specific period before being thoroughly rinsed off.

After the peel, temporary side effects may occur, including redness, slight burning or itching, and skin flaking. These effects are usually mild and resolve on their own within a few days.

The downtime after the fruit acid peel varies depending on the type and depth of the peel. Superficial peels typically have no significant downtime, while deeper peels may require several days of healing.

Key Points of the Treatment:

  • Treatment Duration: Approximately 60 minutes
  • Suitable Areas: Can be used to treat a variety of skin issues, including acne, actinic keratoses, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and rough skin texture.
  • Recommended Treatment Schedule: We suggest 6 sessions spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart. Fall and winter are ideal seasons for a treatment course due to increased skin sensitivity post-treatment.
  • Pre-treatment: The skin is prepared with low-concentration fruit acid creams for two weeks prior to the peel.
  • Downtime: Varies depending on the depth of the peel. Superficial peels typically have minimal downtime, while deeper peels may require several days of healing.
  • Side Effects: Temporary side effects may include redness, burning, itching, and skin flaking immediately after the treatment.

Overall, fruit acid peel is an effective and gentle method for skin renewal and improvement and is appreciated by many as part of their regular skincare routine.
