Skin cancer prevention and aftercare

The number of skin cancers is constantly increasing and is promoted by various influences such as intense sunlight. The most common forms are black and white skin cancer.
Early detection through 1-2 annual skin checks is recommended; if you have light skin types and skin that has been damaged by light, checks should be carried out at shorter intervals.

If there is a noticeable accumulation of moles, the ABCD rule will help you assess existing moles and recognize alarm signals:
A like asymmetry – uneven, asymmetrical shape
B like border – blurred, jagged or uneven and rough edges
C like Color - different colors, lighter and darker spots in a skin change
D like diameter - the diameter is larger than five millimeters at the widest point

Precursors to skin cancer can often also be treated using non-surgical measures. Precursors to skin cancer can often also be treated using non-surgical measures. When selecting treatment, modern digital image programs and computer-aided analysis systems (Fotofinder, Heine Cube, Nevisense) offer improved diagnosis.

Skin cancer aftercare is important to us!
The follow-up care intervals depend on the type and extent of the skin tumor and are important for detecting recurrences or early detection of new tumors. We therefore cooperate with the Tübingen University Dermatology Clinic and the Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt Dermatology Clinic for aftercare.
Because aftercare also means prevention. We will work with you to find individual solutions.
